Seventh Cole Family Photo of Mecklenburg County, Virginia

I recently purchased a large, expensive collection of papers from the estate of Edward Thomas Cole of Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Included in the collection were several photos of unidentified individuals. The families involved were most likely: Cole, Beal, Beale, Thompson, Bing, Hudson, Andrews and Eubank. The seventh photograph and shows a middle-aged man wearing a suit. This might be my great-great-grandfather, James Bartley Cole. Look at the photo of him as an old man and they look very similar. What do you think?

I think this is very likely James Bartley Cole. I have a photo of my own Cole ancestors and I believe the brother of your James "Bartley" Cole is in the photo. The similarity is striking. How do I post

Alison, I got the Cole photos you sent but I did not see anywhere that we were related. You asked what was the rest of the James Bartley Cole photo, it was from a Granger meeting in the late 1800s in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.

Was wondering if you might have a Jerry Messer Cole from Ga. who married a Nancy Ann Roberts. His father was Jeremiah John Cole. Thank you aburpie@yahoo.com
