South Hill Enterprise, July 25, 1984:"JOHN WILLIAM ROBERTS - SOUTH HILL - John William Roberts, 70, of South Hill, died Tuesday, July 17, 1984. He is survived by a daughter, Jo Anne Palmore of South Hill; a son, William S. Roberts, of Richmond; two grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia R. Elmore of Lawrenceville and Christine R. Hall of Meridithville. Services were held Friday at Crowder-Hite Funeral Home, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Southside Rescue Squad, Inc. of South Hill."
